Took my neighbour with her cat they are very helpful and friendly
Very quick service. Our dog is on a Pet plan it is a little expensive and has gone up lots in the 4+ years we have had our dog. Though we have always had good service. Luckily touch wood no real emergency in the last few years. Hopefully that will stay the same. Though good to have the peace of mind.
Charged me over £100 for a check up & eye drops for my cat that cost £4.99 on Amazon. Morally reprehensible behaviour that makes me seriously question the motives of this business.
Next step. I have contacted that place 2 days ago and and said I need flea treatment in 2 days ! Like every 6 months, receptionist said me : ok will be with you soon if you have 2 days. Now Is pass second day , no answer, no contact. They don't care about anything. WORST PLACE I HAD CO-OP IN ALL MY LIFE.
Ok- so the good, the bad and the annoying. The good; absolutely first rate vet care from NT, Kyle and the nursing staff. Clear sensible treatment options are proposed that always put my dog's health first but are mindful of my budget; so they try different options to treat my dogs before sending me to the hospital for the expensive tests. If I need more tests it is explained clearly to me so I am never surprised and I have the choice to do them or not. They are an absolute dream team handling my demon dog who hates vets and never make me feel bad about my idiot dog basically trying to kill them, which makes the whole visit less stressful for me and her. They fuss and look after both my angel dog and demon dog, which I am very grateful for, so animal care and wellbeing is at the forefront of the staff approach. The bad: I have to say the phone system to book appointments or get updates is frustrating to say the least. Also just hang up if you get the call centre, there is no redemption, it's just not worth the stress. The annoying: The tech in the Uxbridge branch is just laughably poor, it's like the 80's called and wants its dial-up back. So do be prepared to add an extra 10 mins (at least) onto your appointment for them to get the card machine working and the calendar up and running to book your next appointment etc etc. Not the staffs fault at all but how tech can be that poor in London is beyond me.
In summary great care, terrible admin.
P.S. Has decent parking
Great service, very friendly & knowledgeable staff, clean location/rooms and parking :)
If I could give this Vet 100 Negative stars I would.
Goddard Vet Uxbridge used to be good but have gotten worst and worst over time. They are one of the most expensive Vets in Uxbridge but now have provided a terrible service
- screw up 1
My elderly dog, Daisy has a heart condition and needs heart medicine. As her condition got worst the Goddard Vet doubled her dosage but didn’t record the increase in dosage. The prescription is a repeat prescription so it should have automatically been dispensed but because Goddard Vet messed up they forgot to dispense the medicine.
As Daisy ran out of medicine I contacted the Vet and they refused to prescribe me more medicine because the vet forgot to get the dosage updated. This situation was worsened because they didn’t have enough medicine for my dog in the first place - so I was already with a lower supply than needed.
When I called Goddard to explain the situation the nurse (Nicole) even suggested I was lying. Why would I lie about this? Why would I purposely give my dog more medicine and put her life at risk and pay money for the extra medicine?
Goddard insists on bringing my dog at a 5.30pm in before I can get more medicine. I said I can’t bring my dog in because I have to pick up my 12 year old son from a bus stop after school bus drop off and the nurse response was “it’s not my problem”.
They are unwilling to accept they made a mistake even though it puts Daisy life at risk. I am disgusted by their treatment
I spoke to Sally (head nurse) to complain and she was almost as unhelpful. No apologies. No sorry we may have screwed up. She spent the whole call suggesting I made a mistake. I said I am really upset and like to make a complaint and she sounded gleeful that I should complain - showing no signs of being apologetic. “Yes go ahead a make a complaint”
Further Sally, even implied I was lying about having to pick up my son as an excuse to not take Daisy to the Vet at 5.30.
- screw up 2
They double charged me on medicine. So not only did they not deliver enough medicine they doubled charged me (see photo - note no apologies).
- screw up 3
They mistakenly took two direct debits from me rather than one direct. Please check your direct debits from them.
All these screws up in the space of 6 months.
Sorry about typos but I am so disappointed in Goddard Uxbridge and written this in a hurry. They seem more happy to take my money, let my dog die (she will die today if I don’t get medicine), accuse their customers of being dishonest (ironic since they overcharged me twice) than accept they made a mistake.
There are a lot of 1 star negative reviews for Goddard. I recommend you read them before using them.
The most tragic thing is without medicine tonight my dog will likely die.
❌I shouldn’t have to plead for medicines that was already pre-authorised to keep my dog alive.
❌I shouldn’t be accused of lying.
❌I shouldn’t have to chase prescriptions that were not sufficiently dispensed.
❌I shouldn’t have been repeatedly overcharged
❌I shouldn’t be incentivised to complain to get myself heard
✅don’t forget to care about the dogs under your care

My cat has been registered with this practice for over 13 years and even though I have had mixed experiences in the past, the current vet she is seeing, Dr Nayantara Ghotge (also known as NT), is absolutely marvelous. She is very attentive, knowledgeable and truly cares about the animal's wellbeing. My cat had a serious overgrooming issue for years and with Dr Ghotge's unrelentless search for the underlying cause, my cat is now no longer "half naked", more full of life and happier than ever.
