Roundwood Vets Ltd describes itself as an independent practice and, based on its website and recent reviews, appears set up for routine preventative care (vaccinations, dental care, health plans) as well as urgent appointments when pets are ill or injured. Owners repeatedly mention thorough examinations and a care process that runs from booking through to follow-ups (including reminders for re-checks). Reviews also include examples of longer-running treatment plans (one cat’s case taking around 10 weeks with multiple visits) and emergency presentation where owners felt the team “jumped” into action.

My cat had a few complications with his treatment, (not through the practice fault, but his own health). As a result, the treatment had taken taken nearly 10 weeks to be finalised. The Vets and staff at the practice were very supportive and welcoming on all visits. They provided reminders of any follow up consultation appointments due. The staff at the practice were very supportive and understanding and they ensured that my cat got the best treatment he could have. I would give a 5 star rating as they treated my cat as a patient and not just a production line item. Thank you all at Roundwood Vets.

After tomorrow I will go to another vet. Numerous times we were told that our dog needed an operation as she’s got sepsis and a womb infection which was told to us from a scan. We were told it’s an emergency and need to operate as soon as. I said I want to get a blood test and after the results we were told we were still told we still need to get an operation. Our dog was put on a drip and anti biotics. After a few hours on my return to the surgery we were told it’s now a urine infection and her liver/kidney are infected. So initially beforehand we were told “she needs surgery but it’s a 50/50 chance she will survive”, not it’s a urine infection and might be a liver/kidney infection. It’s monetary values over the welfare of our dog. We cried. We cried because we were told despite getting the surgery she could still die. If that’s the case I’ll rather my dog stays with us on her last days on earth rather than being cut on in pain and then slowly dying.

I have no words for the amount of care Billy has received at the practice, and also for the amount of support we have received from all staff. Receptionist Yasmin, Doctor Eliza and Nurse Zara are just a few names on the list (not a specific order). They have helped us get Billy checked in spite of much delay of managing to get him to the clinic (Billy didn’t have a home and chip before, and any enclosed space like a cage would make him become very unhappy). All treatments have gone smoothly, and his ear is now recovering, he has also gained plenty of weight. The wonderful staff had also made sure that I didn’t leave without any questions answered, which is very reassuring as a first time cat mom. Thank you, Roundwood vets and see you soon for Billy’s surgery 🌸🌿💕

Came in with my boy Cooper in an Emergency situation and The whole team jumped to save him! I Couldn't thank you all enough for your kindness and genuine care for our boy! We came back today to remove his bandage and he couldn't wait to see everyone again to say thanks and show how much better he is! From the bottom of my heart Thank you all ❤️

Dr. Jo is by far a phenomenal vet. I’ve had an ongoing issue with my dog and she’s shown compassion and professionalism. All the staff are lovely too, I’ve moved home in the past year and couldn’t bear to change vets!
