From the latest reviews available, owners report a mixed experience: several praise specific vets and nurses for effective treatment (for example, a cat treated for constipation, and intensive care when a dog was hospitalised), while multiple others raise concerns about front-desk interactions and communication (rudeness, long waits without updates, and not being called back with results). Practical process issues also come up, including an owner reporting being invoiced months after being told nothing was owed, and another saying the clinic required payment rather than dealing directly with insurance.

Reviews also describe variability between staff members: some owners report friendly, careful handling during appointments (including helping a dog safely off the exam table), while others report rudeness at reception and one report of a vet behaving unprofessionally (being on a personal phone and speaking as if the visit was an inconvenience).

This clinic used to be better, but this time we came and it seems quite a change. The receptionists are so not helpful , tired , with the exception of maybe one person , they are not interested to help , even rude. They certainly don’t want to help with insurance. Now they demand money from us instead of going directly to the insurance companies therefore creating problems for us - big problems. There doesn’t seem to be enough professional interested vets and nurses there. The industry makes so much money , with this huge profits they should provide enough good vets and enough good receptionist, which is not the case at this clinic . such a disappointment.

Please be wary before bringing your dogs here. My dog had been to an appointment on the 24th of december in which we came in concerned because he was rapidly losing weight in which a vet had said just feed him more- which we had fed him an appropriate amount for a german shepherd. On the 25th we had come in with a urine sample as there was blood in the urine and they said they will call us back. They never did. We learnt the hard way from a great vet, i think his name was marko ( i don’t remember his name) , immediately that he had been poisoned and had to be hospitalised. I must say him, the nurse took good care of my baby and i was really grateful, he had passed away but they had done everything in their power to make him feel better . However, the lack of test results from the 25th is absolutely disgusting as it had a lot to do in relation to his reason of death. And everyone was absolutely oblivious when we asked them where are these results. Please be wary and don’t get fooled.

Many thanks to Alberto, Zeynep, and Rodrigo. They took excellent care of my cat and handled her constipation with the right treatment. They answered all our questions patiently and were very reassuring. The costs were reasonable. Despite the reception staff being quite rude, the veterinary care itself was excellent. Highly recommend.

Dear Vets4Pets Management Team, I’m writing because my recent visit left me genuinely disappointed. I arrived on time for my 10:30 am appointment, yet I ended up waiting around 40 minutes with no update. After a while I approached the receptionist to ask why there was a delay. Instead of explaining the situation, she simply told me my consultation room was number 1 and that I’d be seen once they finished with the previous client. I then asked how much longer the wait might be. Her response was “I don’t know, anything could be happening in there,” delivered in a tone that made it feel like I’d done something wrong just by asking. There was no apology, no effort to reassure me, and no basic courtesy. Meanwhile, people who arrived after me were being seen before me, which only added to the frustration. Waiting that long with a stressed animal is hard enough. Being spoken to like that on top of it is unacceptable. Front-of-house staff set the tone for the entire clinic, and in this case the experience was unwelcoming and dismissive. I hope you take this seriously and provide the necessary customer-service training, because interactions like this drive customers away. As it stands, I won’t be returning or recommending this location.

Usually I don’t write reviews, but this was soo unacceptable to the point where I just had to let people know the poor service they provided for my cat. He was in a lot of pain and had stomach issues which then we rushed him down at vet for pets for emergency out of service care. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and gave an excuse saying he cannot be examined due to him hissing. Honestly to all the vets and nurses that don’t care, just quit the job and give it someone who ACTUALLY wants to help animals in need. Then at-least you’re doing something productive. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Came here friday morning around 4am with my dog. When I walked in, the male vet was on his personal phone, clearly not doing anything vet related on his personal phone, already unprofessional, then the way he speaks to me, as if I inconvenienced him and his phone time.. Definitely never coming here again. The lady receptionist I dealt with was incredible, it just can't justify more than 1 star review, when my dog had a big scare and all he cared about was his phone... If there's anyway to give her a personal review, I'd do 5 stars. Many thanks to her.

Had travel issues, traffic was a nightmare, arrived late for vaccinatiom appointment but they let me sit and wait for a spot to open up. Not too long a wait as it was late in the day. The vet was very friendly and cheerful, treated dog with care and respect and helped me get him down from the table as I was sorting out paperwork and was worried he would fall.

April 20th my cat had what seemed to be a seizure, and we rushed him to the vets. We got him there and he was seen quickly, but sadly he couldn’t be saved. I asked on the day and two days later when I picked him up if I owed anything, I was told no. Four months later I’ve received an invoice that I owe £50 and I have 7 days to pay (keeping in mind they sent this letter 8 days before I received it). I understand you don’t get free services, which is why I asked multiple times. But to wait 4 months and not contact me once in that time seems a bit underhanded.

The staff was exceptional during one of the toughest moments I've had to go through. I can only thank them for being kind, caring and all around great. Edit: I just got home and found a card from them, giving their condolences and a bag of poppy seeds to spread in her memory. It's a small gesture, but it means the world. We will for sure register our newly adopted kittens with them. Thank you.

These five stars are for Tina on the front desk/reception staff. Tina is absolutely amazing. Kind, caring, friendly and professional. Nothing is too much for her! She has heart, compassion and empathy and when you experience loss, that is exactly what you need. Other staff in that vets are cold when it comes to your pets passing… I know, I’ve experienced it first hand. I’ve been passed my cats ashes by another member of staff before now who passed them over to me like I was there to pick up a weekly shop….Cheerily passed the ashes over with a smiley “there you go”. Not a bit of compassion or care shown. But not Tina. Tina cares about you and your pet. She cares in a way that no one else there does. I experienced an unexpected and unexplained loss recently and it was Tina that made my heartache a little easier to deal with. No one else, just her. She is everything that you want and need in a vets practice, and I am forever grateful for her..... She really is one of a kind! Tina is by far the best and the only good part of that vets. She is a credit to that vets practice. If you visit Vets for Pets, Romford for anything at all, see Tina. She is, and has always been absolutely amazing.
