The latest written feedback is mostly positive about clear explanations and gentle handling, but one detailed review reports a serious concern about being pressured to accept a ~£2,000 plan or euthanasia and difficulty getting their dog returned.

I was so worried to go to the vet as my German shepherd is quite reactive but thanks to Mary everything was perfect she was so nice and confident which made my dog very relaxed around her , everything went smooth without any issues and my dog had a good experience in the vet , thank you Mary !

I was extremely disappointed with our experience at this veterinary clinic. It felt as though their primary concern was financial gain rather than the well-being of our pet or our situation as owners. When we brought our dog in for a health issue, she was taken away almost immediately, and we were presented with a treatment plan costing nearly £2,000. Unfortunately, due to our circumstances, we weren’t in a position to pay such a high amount at that moment. We were given two options: either pay for the treatment in full or have her put down immediately. What was most upsetting was how difficult it was to get our dog back when we expressed our concerns about the cost. We were met with resistance, and when we finally did get her back, the vet’s attitude became noticeably rude and dismissive, even after we apologised for not being able to go through with the proposed treatment. We were even told that our dog wouldn’t survive the night and that she likely wouldn’t be alive in a couple of days. Now it’s over a month later, our dog has made a full recovery, is in great health, and very much alive, which makes us question the urgency and necessity of the proposed treatment. While we understand that veterinary care can be expensive, we felt that the approach here lacked compassion and transparency and the vet’s attitude was very unprofessional. Our experience left us feeling pressured and undervalued as pet owners, and unfortunately, we would not return. Update: 8 months later, we are celebrating my dog’s 16th birthday!

I cannot speak highly enough of Arden House Animal Hospital. From the moment I arrived, I have been met with kindness and compassion from every member of the team. It is clear that their work is not just a job to them – it means far more. They are true experts in their field, committed to providing exceptional quality of care at every level. In very difficult circumstances with my much-loved but very unwell cat, the staff go above and beyond. They care for my cat with the utmost skill and dedication, while also understanding what the situation means to me personally. That compassion makes all the difference. Kathy, the vet who has led the care for my very unwell cat, is truly exceptional – not only in her medical expertise, but in the way she works alongside me with care, patience and understanding. She recognises how hard it is and helps do everything they possibly can for the best for my cat in incredibly challenging circumstances. An incredible professional and human being. I cant thank her enough for all that she has done and continues to do. Arden House is far more than an animal hospital; it is a place where pets and their people are treated with genuine care, respect, and humanity. I am deeply grateful for the support and exceptional care they provide.

I have a lovely experience with Arden House in Ruislip My 2 year old Pomeranian is having gastrointestinal issues due to possibly eating something she shouldn’t Dr.Jose Romero is a lovely , caring and kind vet who truly loves animals As soon as he opens the door to the minute we leave is all smiles He has helped me feeling less anxious Listens to my worries and explains step by step Visit doesn’t feel rushed :) He doesn’t prescribe tons of medications that isn’t necessary but works out best options He also checks how she is doing and books us in for regular visits Highly recommended :) Pixie Belle says paws crossed my tummy will heal soon

I have taken my cats to see Kathryn for years now. A brilliant vet that knows her job well, is compassionate and helpful in every way. It often feels like she’s an aunty to my cats rather than a doctor, very personable :) The practice itself has recently gone through refurbishment, looks fresh, clean and modern.

Max our yorkie is always well taken care of here! All the staff are absolutely lovely and kind. All the vets are soo understanding and always take their time with you and explain everything so clearly! All the reception ladies are all very kind and lovely also! Brooke is lovely and kind also. I always call and get an appointment whenever I need one. My mother doesn’t speak English very well, I always come in to translate and the vets and receptionist always take their time for me, so I can translate. The facilities are clean, and well looked after! They have had a revamp and all the rooms look super new and done up! I see a few comments regarding parking, I never fail to find parking. Either outside the vets or on the roads. Not sure why people are complaining, is not the vets fault you can’t find parking! Very impressed with the service I get here. Max is now 15, he’s a bit old bless him. But we always come here and get the best service! Thank you so much Arden House Ruislip!
