Always exceptional, especially in this new world of corporate vets, it’s so nice to visit a truly family run business.

The vet was thorough, answered our questions, and handled the paperwork properly, which we appreciate. However, our overall experience didn’t quite match the glowing reviews about warm welcomes, especially as first-time clients navigating the stress of traveling the next day. What felt genuinely unfair was the pricing communication on the Animal Health Certificate. Over the phone, we were quoted something around the £200s, but the final bill was £375. While I understand destination requirements can vary, nearly doubling the initial quote at checkout for completing and signing a one-page form—with no medical treatment involved—is simply not acceptable, especially when you have no choice left but to pay. The clinical side was fine, but greater price transparency and upfront communication are really needed so other pet parents aren’t caught off guard. Update: Thank you for the response and for offering to refund the £180 difference—I appreciate management stepping in to resolve this. However, to clarify Prior to booking, I explicitly stated across multiple calls that we were traveling outside the EU; the receptionist even checked the list for Turkey while on the phone and confirmed it's non-EU. I raised the unexpected jump at checkout; the receptionist went inside checked directly with the vet, who confirmed £375 was the fee. I also phoned the clinic a few days later specifically to share this feedback directly, but was only told "thank you" with no remedy offered. I am glad to hear clearer booking procedures are now in place, and I appreciate the gesture to settle the difference.

I have lived in London for many years and this is the first time I have ever felt the need to formally complain about a veterinary practice. In my experience, this clinic appears to take on far more appointments than it can properly manage. Almost every visit involved a long wait, communication was slow, and even after expensive investigations we struggled to get timely explanations, results and medical records. We paid a significant amount for X-rays, ultrasound, blood tests, urine tests and an orthopaedic consultation, but the service simply did not justify the cost. An important joint was missed on the new X-rays, and during the orthopaedic consultation the vet initially reviewed X-rays from three years ago, believing they were the recent ones. Getting information from the clinic has also been unnecessarily difficult. We repeatedly had to chase for results and records, and even trying to transfer Nini’s care to another vet has been slow and frustrating because obtaining the relevant data has been such a hassle. For a practice charging at this level, I would expect much better organisation, communication and continuity of care. Instead, the whole experience has felt rushed, unprofessional,inefficient and extremely inconvenient. We chose this clinic because of its excellent reviews, but unfortunately the reality did not match our expectations at all. We are now moving Nini’s care elsewhere.

We could not have found a more professional, kind and knowledgeable vet anywhere. Don’t hesitate to use this surgery. We needed to diagnose what was wrong with our dog, Tristan and the team kept us informed of choices, options and results at each stage. Communication was clear and empathetic. Well, what a revelation the practice that vets Sarah and Tristan, both very lovely people, have established with Battersea Square Vets. Friendly, welcoming knowledgeable, helpful and professional, on our first visit today they were brilliant with my working cocker spaniel who bounced out of his yearly checkup tail wagging and happy. Decided on the spot to move from our previous M€divet veterinary practice to Battersea Square Vets. A wonderful antidote to the increasing corporatisation of veterinary services. 100% recommended.

I cannot thank Battersea Square Veterinary Surgery enough for the genuine care and compassion they showed both me and my dog. After a life-threatening pyometra infection over Christmas, my six-year-old overweight Staffordshire Bull Terrier needed spaying. I was extremely anxious, especially after being told elsewhere that keyhole surgery wasn’t possible. From the moment I met Tristan, I felt reassured. He confidently explained everything, answered every question, and made it clear my dog was in safe hands. The whole team were kind, and professional a completely different experience to what I’d previously had at another vets. On surgery day, they even allowed me to settle my dog in with a blanket from home beforehand, which meant so much. The operation was a complete success, and her recovery was remarkable, She returned to herself very quickly, despite being older and overweight. The aftercare was exceptional. Hannah and Becky responded quickly to my whatsapp messages, and Tristan went above and beyond, answering questions late on a Saturday evening after the surgery had closed. Their empathy, professionalism, and genuine care truly shine through. I would Highly recommend Tristan and the team at Battersea square vets.
