From recent reviews, owners most often mention being able to get same-day (sometimes same-hour) appointments and coming in for ongoing treatments such as regular injections. Reception staff are repeatedly singled out for being friendly and helpful, and two vets (Dr Mateus and Dr Jamie) are praised for clear explanations and careful handling.
There’s also a clear split in experiences: alongside many long-term clients reporting good support, several reviewers describe serious concerns including persistent appointment delays with little communication, and allegations of inappropriate medication/injections and poor outcomes.

I’ve always had good experiences with this vet , but today I was beyond disappointed. My appointment was scheduled for 11:15, and by 11:50 I still hadn’t been seen. What bothered me most wasn’t even the delay itself, but the complete lack of communication from the vet. Other clients came in after me and left before I had been seen. After waiting I rescheduled the appointment for another day and still during that time the vet hadn’t called us in. I want to be clear that the receptionists are consistently great: friendly, helpful, and professional as always - unsung heroes. This issue was about respect for clients’ time. Delays happen, but acknowledging them goes a long way. 9/10 the vets are always late. Time management is a constant issue at this practice, even if you book the first appointment of the day. Once that is rectified I have no complaints about this vet but today has left a really bad impression, to the point of considering other practices.

I’ve been with the practice for at least 7 years and always received excellent support, reception staff have always been friendly/helpful and that can be also said regarding the practitioners.

The team at Medivet Yeading are always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The centre is within 5 minutes walk from my home which makes it convenient too. I have five cats and they’re all registered here. I’m very happy with the service I receive and the care shown towards my pets. Sometimes I’ll drop by for general advice and I’ve never been turned away even when it’s been something that others might find insignificant.

We’ve had a positive experience with this practice so far. In particular, Dr Mateus is excellent - very attentive, knowledgable and explains things well. We’ve always been able to get same day (and sometimes same hour!) appointments at this practice when needed - no queues to get through on the phone. The receptionists are lovely and helpful and it’s nice that they know your dog by name!

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Jamie. He is not only an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable veterinarian, but he also has an intuitive, compassionate approach that sets him apart. From the moment we walked in, he treated my dog Archie with such genuine care and attention. He was amazing with Archie- gentle, patient, and thorough. Dr. Jamie took extra time to carefully assess Archie’s wound, found the perfect-sized cone to keep him comfortable, and most importantly, provided me with much-needed reassurance during a stressful time. His empathy and professionalism made a world of difference, and I am beyond grateful for the way he looked after both of us. I've truly never come across a vet as exceptional as Dr. Jamie. Thank you so much- we are so lucky to have found you!

We trusted Medivet Yeading with the care of our elderly cat, and sadly, our experience was deeply disappointing and distressing. Initially, we brought her in for a thyroid issue. The early care seemed routine, but as her condition progressed, we experienced a lack of price transparency, inconsistent communication, and advice that left us confused and emotionally drained. We were repeatedly given estimates and treatment options without clear breakdowns unless we directly asked. Medication prices were often only revealed at payment, not at prescription. At one point, we were advised to consider euthanasia — while our cat was already under anaesthesia for a surgery that was ultimately not completed. We were left believing this was our only option. Thankfully, we sought a second opinion from another vet, who reassured us that the issue was likely manageable. Today, our beautiful cat is alive and doing well, which raises serious concerns about the advice we were given. After challenging the charges — including nearly £1,000 for a surgery that wasn’t performed — we were promised a partial refund. However, the refund process was slow, poorly communicated, and mishandled, despite signed agreements and several follow-ups. I don’t write this review lightly, but pet owners deserve to make informed decisions. Based on our experience, I would urge others to ask detailed questions, request all pricing in writing, and consider a second opinion before committing to major procedures here.
